1 cup grapes
3 almonds

(Breakfast - Pears with Cream Cheese)

Pears with Cream CheeseOne 3 block meal.

Ingredients:
1 Wasa Cracker (1 sheet)
¼ Cup + 2 Tbls. non-fat cream cheese
1 pear
2 Tbls. pine nuts

Grilled Turkey Salad with Mandarin Oranges
Here is a recipe adapted from Dr. Sears’ Zone-Perfect Meals in Minutes.

1 lunch entrée (4 blocks)

Ingredients:
4 ounces cooked turkey breast, cubed
1 cup celery, finely sliced
3/4 cup red onion, finely sliced
Romaine lettuce
1/2 cup Zoned French Dressing

1/3 cup unsweetened Mandarin oranges
1 peach
1 1/3 teaspoons olive oil
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
Instructions:
In a salad bowl, combine turkey, celery, onion, oil, Zoned French Dressing, peach, oranges, turmeric and mint. Toss lightly to coat. On a lunch plate place lettuce, top with turkey mixture and serve.

Colazione Salata con Cracker Bilanciati
(Prosciutto with Crackers)

Here’s a savory, fruity, and authentic Italian Zone breakfast. It’s simple to make and is Zone-Balanced with prosciutto (a good source of protein), walnuts (a nutritious fat), and strawberries and kiwis (healthful carbohydrates). Walnuts are a good source of monounsaturated fats for anti-inflammatory effects. Prosciutto with CrackersOne 3 block meal.

Ingredients:
1 Wasa cracker (1 sheet)
3 ounces prosciutto
1 cup strawberries
2 kiwi
3 walnuts

Instructions:
Arrange prosciutto on crackers, place on plate. Mix chopped strawberries, kiwi, and walnuts together on plate as shown in picture.
